We are recruiting an experienced Head Chef to oversee catering operations within a busy hospital environment based in Harlow You will lead a team responsible for producing high-quality, nutritious meals for patients and staff while ensuring compliance with all food hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day kitchen operations and lead a team of catering staff
- Plan, prepare, and present meals according to dietary and portion requirements
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety regulations
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and waste management
- Support menu planning and maintain excellent standards of service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a large-scale catering or healthcare setting
- Food Hygiene Level 3 (minimum)
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Flexibility to work a rota including weekends
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
