Aston Education is looking for a full-time Food and Design Technology Technicianto join this 11-16 Secondary Academy in Harlow, West Essex, as soon as possible.

As a Food and DT Technician, you'll provide technical support to Food and DT departments of the Academy in order to support teaching and learning.

You'll ensure equipment and materials are prepared for lessons and practical demonstrations as instructed by the teaching staff. You'll also support teachers in advising students on the safe and proper use of the equipment and support students in learning activities as required.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in food technology, catering, or a related field (e.g., NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience working in a food technology environment, school, or catering setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a food environment.
  • Have knowledge and skills within Textiles, Resistant Materials and Food preparation
  • Experience working with children and/or young people
