We are collaborating with a renowned FMCG manufacturer based in Essex to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer for their night shift Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic company that is heavily investing in growth and offers real career development and progression potential.

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer, with a minimum of 3-4 years experience. You will play a key role in executing planned and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and address quality issues. You'll also contribute to the continuous improvement of machinery and processes in alignment with the business strategy.Opportunity for overtime is available, with some flexibility to cover other shifts or holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults in plant machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory checks and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Participate in various engineering and capital projects.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and manage stores effectively.
  • Assist in training and supporting relevant employees in maintenance activities.
  • Engage in training programs to enhance your skills as needed.
  • Communicate effectively during team reviews, engineering meetings, and shift handovers.

Requirements:

  • Electrical or Mechanical bias preferred, with relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification - is an advantage.
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments is desirable, though all backgrounds will be considered.
  • Full training on machines and products will be provided, as well as a comprehensive onboarding program.
