A food manufacturer based between Harlow and Enfield is seeking a Stock Controller, paying up to £30,500 plus benefits, to join their warehouse team.

The role will be supporting with the inventory and stock levels to ensure that the right amount of stock is available to meet consumer as well as business needs.

Duties will include the following:

  • Carry out month end stock takes for all sites
  • Ensure warehouse staff have properly prepped stock locations before stock take
  • Ensure all areas have been counted before stock period end
  • Monitor stock returns to ensure completed on a timely basis
  • Investigate and report any picking errors
  • Perform Regular stock spot checks
  • Regular review of out-of-date stock
  • Review and follow up stock amendments posted and produce report summarising differences
  • Liaise with auditors at year end
  • Ensuring that stock records match physical stock
  • Ensure stock records are up to date and accurate
  • Monitor Pallet Stocks and ensure customer details are correct
  • Carry out regular Weighbridge checks
  • Monitor stock levels of merchanted goods and ensure reordering on a timely basis
  • Ensuring stock is entered on Unity accurately so that orders can be processed.
  • Work on stock control projects as and when necessary
  • Carry out packing and ingredients purchasing for the other two sites

The ideal candidate will come from a stock control and inventory background, ideally working within the food industry or consumables. The role is split between 3 sites, 2 in Enfield and 1 in Harlow, so the suitable candidate for the role must drive and have access to a car. Great attention to detail as well as process driven, having used ERP systems and internal stock management systems. You will have a real can-do attitude and have the ability to work as part of a team but also autonomously as you will be working solely when at the different sites.
