Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? We’re looking for a caring and dedicated Special Needs Assistant join our friendly and inclusive primary school in Harlow, Essex.
At the school, every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their very best. As a Special Needs Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and emotionally. The children you will be supporting are on the Autistic spectrum and have mild Social and Emotional Needs.
About the Role
As a Special Needs Assistant in Harlow, Essex, you’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. You’ll provide one-to-one and small group support, help create inclusive learning opportunities, and celebrate each child’s progress – big or small.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Patient, compassionate, and positive
- A great communicator who can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Proactive and able to use initiative within the classroom
- Ideally experienced in supporting children with SEN (though training and guidance will be provided)
