Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a passion for Fire & Life Safety systems?

Attega Group is currently working with a leading provider of fire and life safety solutions, in their search for a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of growing a key business area, developing tailored technical proposals, and forging long-term partnerships with clients across sectors including construction, local government, housing associations, and facilities management.

Duties for this role will include:

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across Fire Detection, AOV, PAVA, and Evacuation systems.
  • Producing technical proposals tailored to client needs and current regulations.
  • Building strong working relationships with M&E contractors, consultants, and end-users to become a trusted partner.
  • Managing the end-to-end bid and quotation process including site surveys, proposal documents, and pricing models.
  • Attending client meetings, networking events, and contributing to marketing and product development efforts.
  • Accurately forecasting pipeline and sales performance via CRM systems and internal reporting.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a BDM role within the Fire or related systems sector.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets with an existing network of contacts and live opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of British Standards and relevant systems including Fire Detection, Evacuation, and AOV.
  • FIA Fundamentals certification
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and proposal-writing skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
