Job Title: Business Development Manager – Fire & Life Safety
Location: Harlow, Essex (with UK travel)
Salary and package: £50,000 to £55,000 + bonus + car allowance
Full Time / Permanent / Mon to Fri

Attega Group is currently working with a leading provider of fire and life safety solutions, in their search for a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of growing a key business area, developing tailored technical proposals, and forging long-term partnerships with clients across sectors including construction, local government, housing associations, and facilities management.

Duties for this role will include:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across Fire Detection, AOV, PAVA, and Evacuation systems.
- Producing technical proposals tailored to client needs and current regulations.
- Building strong working relationships with M&E contractors, consultants, and end-users to become a trusted partner.
- Managing the end-to-end bid and quotation process including site surveys, proposal documents, and pricing models.
- Attending client meetings, networking events, and contributing to marketing and product development efforts.
- Accurately forecasting pipeline and sales performance via CRM systems and internal reporting.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a BDM role within the Fire or related systems sector.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets with an existing network of contacts and live opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of British Standards and relevant systems including Fire Detection, Evacuation, and AOV.
- FIA Fundamentals certification
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and proposal-writing skills.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
