TIG Welders job opportunity with this aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) com. The job is to provide high quality repairs and modifications to aerospace components while keeping everything up to industry standards.
What You'll Do:
- Handle TIG welding on various materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.
- Follow safety protocols while getting the job done.
- Keep accurate records of your work, including any technical data you used.
- Read and understand engineering blueprints and technical drawings to make sure everything meets the project specs.
- Inspect your welds to ensure they're strong and durable.
- Work alongside the engineering and quality control teams to hit project goals.
- Take care of your tools and equipment to keep things running smoothly.
- Be ready to jump in and help with other tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Solid experience with TIG welding.
- You should have or have had a welding qualification; BCAR A8-10 is a plus, and AWS D17.1 or BS EN9606 would be great. You'll need to be able to get approved for BCAR A8-10 in the required material groups.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your time well to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry is nice but not a must.
- Strong hands-on skills and the ability to perform blend repairs and minor adjustments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
