Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assistant Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making.

The RoleReporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Producing monthly financial packs for clients
  • Maintaining control schedules, ensuring adherence to finance timetables, and complying with Group/client policies and procedures.
  • Managing invoicing for management fees, sales, and purchases, ensuring payments are reviewed and processed promptly.
  • Preparing monthly prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Completing bank account reconciliations.
  • Assisting with annual budgets to agreed deadlines.
  • Acting as the internal contact for accounting queries.
  • Supporting both company and client statutory audits.
  • Building effective relationships across commercial, technical, land, legal, customer service, and operational teams.
  • Carrying out ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.

Person Specification

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong organisational and presentation skills.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Actively studying towards an accountancy qualification, or in the latter stages of AAT Level 4 (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in an accounts role.
  • Knowledge of Xero and Navision preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
