Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly management accounts preparation and reporting packs
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Process journals including accruals, prepayments, and corrections
- Maintain fixed asset registers and monitor depreciation
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Compile and submit VAT returns
- Liaise with internal departments and support external audits
- Ensure financial processes are documented and compliant
- Assist with continuous improvements to financial operations
- Undertake ad-hoc financial duties as directed by management
Candidate Profile
- AAT qualified or currently studying ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounts role
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and some month end experience
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Oracle, or equivalent)
- High level of accuracy and analytical thinking
- Good time management and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with others
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
