Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join an Accountancy Practice with offices in the centre of Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Ideally for this Bookkeeper role, you will be AAT qualified / PQ ACCA/ACA with experience of working within Practice

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Client Accountant in preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies.
  • Ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Reconciling bank statements.
  • Creating and posting invoices.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  • Handling client queries.

What skills are we looking for?

  • PQ ACCA / ACA / AAT qualified.
  • Experience of working within an Accountancy Practice as a Bookkeeper.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Sage 50, Xero, and QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
