The Recruitment & Training Assistant will support the Human Resources department within the Transport & Distribution industry, focusing on recruitment and staff development. This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the organisation.

Client Details

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation within the Transport industry. The company operates as part of a large organisation, offering a professional environment and a commitment to employee development.

Description

  • To schedule interviews for either yourself and/or the hiring manager, dependent on the role.
  • To carry out interviews with candidates and complete all required paperwork and checks, including right to work checks, drug and alcohol testing, booking medical appointments and DBS checks as required.
  • To complete reference checks.
  • To create and issue offer packs and contracts for new colleagues joining the company.
  • To book induction dates for new colleagues joining the company.
  • To work with external supplies and career event organisations to set up and attend recruitment events.

Profile

A minimum of two years' recruitment experience and a working knowledge of legislation and best practice in relation to recruitment.

A minimum of two years' experience working in administration.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels both internally and externally to the company.

High levels of accuracy and excellent attention to detail.

The ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team managing a busy workload.

The ability to work flexibly and to deliver to tight deadlines.

Flexibility and transport to travel to other locations.
