Calibration Engineer

Harrogate

Up to £30k

We seek a confident mechanical or electrical engineer for an interesting and a challenging role undertaking, test repair and calibration of a wide range of measuring equipment and instrumentation. This is a workshop-based position, has free parking and is easily commutable by train from both Leeds and York.

As the Test and Calibration Engineer, you will:

  • Undertake testing and calibration of measuring equipment for industries such as railway, laboratories, hospitals and factories
  • Calibration & repair of measuring instruments including pressure gauges, dimensional measuring equipment, temperature and torque.
  • Work to component level to test, repair and replace faulty components
  • Work to customer delivery targets
  • Testing, repair and replacement of electrical wiring
  • Mechanical strip down and rebuild as required.
  • Meeting customers deadlines.

As the Test and Calibration Engineer, you will:

  • Suitable recognised qualifications and or experience
  • An understanding of mechanical and or electrical engineering principles
  • Communication, organisational and teamwork skills
  • Initiative, focus and commitment
  • Be able to work in a targeted environment
  • Have confident fault-finding and repair skills
  • Any experience of instrument calibration would be of great interest
