Payroll Co-Ordinator, £35,000, Harrogate

Our client located in the centre of Harrogate is looking for an experienced Payroll Co-Ordinator to support their group payroll operations ensuring staff are paid correctly and in line with current legislation.

You will a strong background in payroll with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Skills & Experience:

  • Payroll experience is essential
  • Strong understanding of PAYE/NIC regulations
  • Experience with pensions and auto-enrolment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Confident communicator at all levels of the business

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and input payroll data
  • Conduct minimum wage compliance checks
  • Reconcile payroll and manage related reporting
  • Administer pensions and auto-enrolment assessments
  • Produce and distribute payslips, P45s, P60s, and payroll reports
  • Calculate average holiday pay for variable pay staff
  • Maintain electronic payroll records and filing systems
  • Respond to staff pay-related queries
  • Support payroll costings and journal preparation
  • Administer payrolled benefits and scheme memberships
  • Assist in training other payroll staff
