Extraordinary People, Exceptional Care

At Orchard Care Homes, we’re committed to delivering the highest standard of care for our residents. To ensure our homes continue to run smoothly, we depend on a set of core systems that support our recruitment, HR, rostering, time recording, maintenance, and purchasing processes.

As part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, we’re modernising these systems to keep them user-friendly, up-to-date, and aligned with our growing business. That’s where you come in!

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Systems Trainer to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping our home teams master these essential tools, offering training, coaching, and ongoing support to ensure they feel confident and capable in using the systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, effective training sessions for managers and administrators across our care homes, in person.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to conduct assessments, identify knowledge gaps, and tailor training to suit specific needs.
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly manuals, e-learning modules, job aids, and guides that clearly explain systems and processes.
  • Provide 1:1 coaching, remote support, and refresher training as needed to help Home Administrators get the most from our systems.
  • Work with IT and department leaders to ensure that training is aligned with business objectives and system updates.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of your training through feedback surveys, assessments, and performance data.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes and system usage, recommending changes to drive greater efficiency.

Key Competencies & Skills:

  • Proven experience in delivering systems training and coaching in person and remotely (e.g., via 1:1 video calls).
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other core business tools.
  • Experience in process optimisation and translating technical processes into everyday practice.
  • Highly self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
  • Clear and confident communicator — both written and verbal — who builds strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Comfortable travelling regularly to homes across the region (driving licence essential).

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or with demonstrable experience in systems training, implementation, and user adoption.
  • At least 3+ years experience delivering technical or systems training (preferably in a care or multi-site operational environment).
  • Proficiency with training tools such as PowerPoint, LMS platforms, HCM platforms, and webinar tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams).
  • Strong understanding of systems, with the ability to break down complex processes into easily digestible learning materials.
  • Experience working within a care or multi-site operational setting is desirable but not essential.

Special Requirements:

  • This role involves regular travel across the Orchard Care Homes network. A full, valid driving licence and your own car (insured for business travel) are essential.

Benefits:

  • Access to Company supported pension scheme, with contributions by salary exchange.
  • Access to Blue Light Discount Card.
  • Excellent training and progression opportunities, from day one, with career pathways to enable you to grow and develop.
  • Recognition schemes, such as 'Making a Difference’ and an annual awards ceremony, recognising our dedicated staff team.
  • Access to our 24/7 Employee Support Hub offering confidential support on personal and professional issues.
