Sewell Wallis is currently recruiting for an experienced Client Accountant to join a reputable Accountancy Practice located in the centre of Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Accountant to manage their own portfolio of clients within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Assisting with the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Working closely with the leadership team to support the firm's ongoing growth strategy.
  • General bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Preparing corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Liaising with HMRC
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  • Managing client relationships and handling day-to-day queries.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA / ACA / AAT.
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero, and QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
