Sewell Wallis is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Client Accountant to join a well-established Accountancy Practice based in central Harrogate, North Yorkshire. This is a full-time, office-based role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Client Accountant to take ownership of their own client portfolio while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
What will you be doing?
- Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assist with the onboarding of new clients
- Work closely with the leadership team to support business growth
- Perform general bookkeeping duties
- Prepare corporate and personal tax returns
- Submit and review VAT returns
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Manage client relationships and respond to queries
What skills are we looking for?
- ACCA / ACA / AAT qualified or part-qualified
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice managing a portfolio of clients
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero, and QuickBooks is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client service skills
