Sewell Wallis is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Client Accountant to join a well-established Accountancy Practice based in central Harrogate, North Yorkshire. This is a full-time, office-based role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Client Accountant to take ownership of their own client portfolio while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Assist with the onboarding of new clients
  • Work closely with the leadership team to support business growth
  • Perform general bookkeeping duties
  • Prepare corporate and personal tax returns
  • Submit and review VAT returns
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Manage client relationships and respond to queries

What skills are we looking for?

  • ACCA / ACA / AAT qualified or part-qualified
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice managing a portfolio of clients
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero, and QuickBooks is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
