We are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Manager to lead the strategic development and implementation of Health and Safety (H&S) policies and procedures across our multi-campus network in London. This pivotal role ensures compliance with relevant legislation and best practices, providing expert guidance to senior leadership and managing the college-wide H&S framework.
Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee the development and implementation of H&S policies and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with H&S legislation and best practices.
- Provide expert H&S guidance to senior leadership.
- Manage the college-wide H&S framework.
- Oversee incident investigations, risk management, and audits.
- Develop and maintain a strong safety culture within the organisation.
- Line manage the H&S team and liaise with external agencies, regulators, and contractors.
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent Level 6 qualification).
- Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), or working towards chartered status.
- Extensive knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Proven experience in a senior H&S role, ideally within a complex, multi-site organisation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
- Experience with incident investigation and regulatory liaison.
