- Job title: Lecturer of English
- Location: Harrow-on-the-Hill and Harrow Weald Campuses
- Salary:£32,400 to £45,200
- Job Type: Full-time and Part-time positions available
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English to a diverse group of vocational learners.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Participate in curriculum development and stay updated with the latest educational practices and standards.
- Engage with students to foster a positive learning environment and encourage their academic and personal growth.
- Commit to teaching one evening per week
- A degree or equivalent in English or a related subject area is preferable. Candidates with a Level 3 qualification and at least 2 years of proven successful teaching experience in English/Literacy/ESOL/EFL are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in teaching/tutoring GCSE, Functional Skills English, ESOL, EFL, or literacy.
- Ability to engage and motivate 16 to 18-year-olds from various vocational backgrounds.
- Possession of a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or willingness to undertake teacher training supported by the College.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
