Join this established FE College based in North London as an Interim Infrastructure Manager and play a pivotal role in transforming the future of education through innovative IT systems. This position offers the opportunity to drive significant improvements in IT infrastructure, supporting a vibrant educational community.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Implement, administer, and support the effective operation of all IT services and network resources across the college and associated sites.
  • Deputise for the Head of IT Services and contribute to the college IT strategy.
  • Assist in strengthening the security posture of the college’s network systems to mitigate cyber threats.
  • Support in planning IT budgets to align with current and future business needs.
  • Develop and implement IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
  • Administer and maintain a multi-domain Windows Server environment and associated technologies.
  • Support college wired and wireless networks, computer hardware, mobile devices, and storage solutions.
  • Provide technical support and training on computer and network systems to all staff.
  • Ensure the deployment and maintenance of software, networking equipment, and telephony across all sites.
  • Manage and train IT support staff, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a help desk environment within the Microsoft Windows ecosystem.
  • Proficient in maintaining server infrastructure, configuring network devices, and supporting end users with desktop applications.
  • Familiarity with Office365 Suite, MECM, Windows Server (2016-2022), PowerShell, Azure, Intune, and backup methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across a range of second/third line issues in both hardware and software contexts.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively amidst changing priorities.
  • Ideally will have experience in education
