Conveyancing Legal Secretary
£30k - £45k
Harrow (HA1), office based
We’re working with a highly respected, forward-thinking law firm who are on the lookout for an experienced and proactive Legal Secretary to join their close-knit team. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of your work, this could be the perfect next step in your legal career.
The role sits within their conveyancing department, supporting a range of property transactions. You’ll be the go-to person for a variety of responsibilities — from preparing and submitting applications via the Land Registry portal, to handling SDLT forms and lodging security documents at Companies House, all without the need for supervision. Experience in these areas is therefore essential.
You’ll also assist with drafting documents, liaising with third parties, debt and disbursement recovery, and file management — including opening, archiving, and ensuring zero balances. Strong administration skills are a must, as you'll be producing emails, letters, bills, and completion statements.
What they’re looking for:
- At least 5 years' relevant experience in conveyancing
- Ability to work confidently without supervision
- Meticulous attention to detail and a conscientious approach
- Friendly, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable thinking on your feet and showing initiative
What’s on offer:
- Private healthcare scheme
- Company pension
- Parking
- Sick pay
- Standard office hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
This is a brilliant opportunity to become a vital part of a supportive legal team where your contributions will be genuinely valued.
