We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Accounting & Finance department within the Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry, based in Harrow. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely financial recording and reporting.

Description
**PLEASE NOTE** - This is an office based role and you will need to be able to work in Harrow 5 days per week.
- Oversee all financial accounting processes for the hotel, ensuring accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial reporting
- Manage and process all financial transactions, including revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
- Maintain and update financial records
- Support the department with administrative tasks
- Work closely with other departments to ensure financial accuracy
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
- Support in conducting financial audits
- Provide assistance in financial forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
- Proven experience as a remote finance assistant lead in a hotel environment.
- Must have experience within self-accounting and financial reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, including a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, supply chain management and cost control.
- Significant experience with payroll control and labour cost management, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Expertise in supplier negotiations and managing vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in OPERA PMS and SAGE, accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and maintain self-discipline in a remote working environment.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the highest level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to influence effectively across all departments within a hotel but also at peer to peer and key stakeholders' level
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CPA or similar professional financial certification is a plus.
- Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment
Job Offer
- An estimated salary range of £37,000 - £45,000 per annum
