A creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent school in Harrow for a position commencing in September for a Maternity Cover. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) to develop their artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation of visual culture.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art Teacher lessons covering a range of artistic disciplines and techniques to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop students' skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other art forms.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive studio environment that encourages experimentation and personal expression.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Art, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic journey.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Art and Design.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Art Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A strong knowledge of art history, theory, and practical techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring a passion for art in students.
