Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a diverse range of literary texts and language concepts.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations, developing their analytical and writing abilities.
- Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages thoughtful discussion and articulate expression of ideas.
- Assess and monitor student progress in English, providing insightful feedback to support their literary and linguistic development.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in English Language and Literature.
- Demonstrated experience teaching English Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of English literature, language, and effective pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring a passion for reading, writing, and critical analysis in students.
