Do you have a passion for numbers and a gift for making complex mathematical concepts accessible to young men? We're thrilled to be looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Mathematics Teacher to join our well-regarded Independent boys' school in Harrow on a temporary, full-time basis, starting this June. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop problem-solving skills and logical thinking in our bright students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
What you'll be doing:
- You'll be planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons, nurturing numerical fluency and a deep understanding of mathematical principles.
- It's about guiding students through algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus, fostering confidence and a love for the subject.
- You'll cultivate a challenging yet supportive classroom environment where students feel empowered to tackle problems, explore different strategies, and appreciate the elegance of mathematics.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Mathematics.
- Ideally, you'll have some experience teaching engaging and effective Maths lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A strong command of the mathematics curriculum and a knack for explaining complex ideas clearly.
- Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a real passion for inspiring mathematical curiosity.
