• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Religious Education Teacher lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially 5 (A-level), exploring diverse religious traditions, philosophical questions, and ethical dilemmas.
• Foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for respectful dialogue and critical thinking about complex worldviews.
• Encourage students to articulate their perspectives respectfully and appreciate the richness of human belief systems.
• Assess and monitor student progress in Religious Education, providing clear and constructive feedback to support their understanding and development.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or demonstrable experience in a similar independent school setting, with a specialism in Religious Education or a related humanities field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Religious Education Teacher lessons with a focus on fostering critical inquiry at secondary key stages.
• A strong and comprehensive knowledge of religious traditions, philosophical concepts, and effective teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex ethical and religious ideas clearly and engagingly to students.
