An ambitious and high-achieving secondary school in North West London is seeking a dedicated Resistant Materials Teacher to join their thriving Design & Technology department from September.

The Role

This is a full-time teaching position within a well-established and supportive Design and Technology department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons to mixed ability groups across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

At Key Stage 3, students follow a broad and practical introduction to all areas of Design and Technology, with this role focusing on developing foundational skills in a range of materials.

From Year 10 onwards, pupils choose between BTEC Design and Technology or GCSE Product Design, and the post-holder will be responsible for teaching both pathways, with an emphasis on resistant materials. The role includes full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons, managing coursework, and preparing students for final examinations. Requirements:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
