Support Pupils with SEN and Train to Become a Qualified Teacher
A well-regarded primary school in Harrow & Wealdstone is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in Speech & Language, Psychology, or those with strong experience supporting pupils with SEN through one-to-one interventions.
The school is committed to developing its staff and is offering the opportunity for successful candidates to progress onto a SCITT teacher training programme after completing one year in the role. The Role
Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
Supporting speech and language interventions
Assisting in classroom activities and lesson preparation
Helping pupils with their academic and social development
Gaining valuable classroom experience with the potential to transition into teacher training
The Ideal Candidate
Degree in Speech & Language, Psychology, or Education (preferred but not essential)
OR extensive experience supporting SEN pupils in a school setting
Strong understanding of SEN interventions and behaviour strategies
Passionate about making a difference in children's lives
Ambitious and interested in progressing onto a teacher training programme
