Are you an energetic and enthusiastic Sports Coach with a passion for engaging secondary-aged students in physical activity and personal growth?

The Opportunity

Long Term Futures are working with a well-respected secondary school in Harrow to recruit a dynamic Sports Coach to deliver high-quality support across both PE lessons and broader behaviour mentoring. This full-time role involves working closely with students aged 11-16, supporting their physical development, teamwork skills, and emotional regulation.

This role blends structured physical education with mentoring-based interaction-ideal for candidates with a background in coaching, youth engagement, or physical development who are confident supporting pupils both on and off the pitch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist PE staff in delivering engaging and inclusive sports sessions
  • Lead small group instruction focused on skill-building and teamwork
  • Provide one-on-one mentoring to pupils with behaviour or attendance concerns
  • Support whole-class management during lessons and extracurriculars
  • Monitor pupil progress and report on engagement and participation

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Sports Coach, Teaching Assistant, or Youth Mentor
  • Ability to support physical education and build positive relationships with young people
  • Confident using positive behaviour management techniques
  • Passion for promoting teamwork, resilience, and confidence through sport
  • Flexible, reliable, and comfortable leading small groups
