We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various fabrication techniques. As a Plater, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Duties
- Assemble sheet metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
- Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to ensure strong and durable connections between parts.
- Fabricate metal structures and components as required by project specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques in the field of metal fabrication.
