Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Hartlepool
Salary: £46,354.09 (including shift allowance)

Working Hours:
You will be working on a three-shift rotational pattern averaging 38.5 hours per week:
Week 1:
Monday: 05:00 – 15:00
Tuesday to Friday: 07:00 – 15:00
Week 2:
Monday to Thursday: 23:00 – 07:00
Friday: 23:00 – 08:00
Week 3:
Monday to Friday: 15:00 – 23:00
Flexibility is key, with occasional weekend work and overtime expected.
Job Description:
- As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on equipment and control systems, including PLCs
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment uptime
- Work on continuous improvement projects and root cause analysis (e.g., QC Story, Major Breakdown Reporting)
- Participate in risk assessments and maintain high engineering standards
- Support with shift cover for absence, shutdowns, and urgent projects
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Fully accredited apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- HNC or equivalent Level 3 qualification (Electrical/Mechatronics)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with control panels and PLCs (Omron and Siemens preferred, Allen Bradley acceptable)
- Flexibility for rotating shifts, overtime, and weekend work
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Desirable:
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to continuous improvement tools
- Familiarity with QC Story and risk assessment procedures
