Facilities Electrician

TEXO Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrician to join the facilities team of our external client located in Hartlepool.

This key role covers the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a port environment, requiring expertise in HV switching, CompEx/ATEX compliance, and up to date knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on port infrastructure and buildings
• Install new electrical systems and infrastructure
• Work on CompEx/ATEX-certified environments including warehouses, gates, and automated systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot 240/415V motor systems and PLC drive systems
• Operate and maintain high-voltage (HV) electrical networks

Requirements:

• Time served Electrician with a minimum of 8 years experience
• Valid CompEx/ATEX certification
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certification (BS 7671:2018)
• Inspection and Testing Certificate (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
• EV Installation Certificate C&G 2921-34
• HV Switching Qualification
• Electrical design, City & Guilds 2396
