The Company
Our client is a well-established company in the process sector. Due to sustained growth, they are now recruiting for a Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Technician.
The Role
- You will be responsible for supervising and performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.
- This role ensures that plant electrical and instrumentation systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- You will also mentors Technicians and coordinate daily activities to support production and maintenance goals.
- Oversee and support a team of Technicians in executing electrical and instrumentation work safely and effectively across all plant systems.
- Perform assembly, installation, maintenance, testing and disassembly of electrical/control equipment including motors, drives, switchgear, sensors, transmitters and control valves, panels.
- Supervise and carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous system reliability and performance.
- Diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults and identify root causes.
- Safely remove, replace or repair faulty components.
The Person
- You will ideally be time served and have experience in a similar role.
- An individual would be expected to have core trade qualifications as a minimum requirement:
- Ideally hold a valid CompEx Inspection certificate and Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Will have experience with Permit to Work system.
- Relay protection training.
- LV/HV switching and isolating procedures training.
- HV Authorisation.
