Picker/Packer

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Packer to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. Duties

• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper packing techniques are applied.
• Operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading goods as required.
• Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for.
• Engage in picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer specifications.
• Maintain an organised warehouse environment by stocking shelves and managing inventory effectively.
• Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
• Conduct quality control checks on products before packing to ensure they meet company standards.
• Perform heavy lifting as necessary, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with forklift operation is essential; certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems is advantageous for efficient inventory tracking.
