Responsibilities of the role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, subject-specific lessons to secondary pupils.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning styles and needs.

  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and the wider school community.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience as an Early Career Teacher in a secondary school setting, with the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet student needs.
  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with ECT status.
  • A specialism in a secondary school subject (e.g. Maths, English, Science, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 curriculum.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to pupil progress.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and receive feedback constructively.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one via GSL Education.
