Responsibilities of the role:
- Plan and deliver engaging, subject-specific lessons to secondary pupils.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning styles and needs.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect and progress.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning.
- Participate in training, meetings, and the wider school community.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies.
Job Requirements:
- Experience as an Early Career Teacher in a secondary school setting, with the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet student needs.
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with ECT status.
- A specialism in a secondary school subject (e.g. Maths, English, Science, etc.).
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 curriculum.
- Passion for education and a commitment to pupil progress.
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback constructively.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one via GSL Education.
