Roadside Technician

Location: Edgeware, Camden, Tottenham, Barnet, Enfield, Wembley (Areas Covered)
Basic Salary: Up to £40,000
Working Hours: 40-hour week (Shifts available between 7am – 8pm)
Extras: OT paid at 1.25x on weekdays and 1.5x on weekends

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roadside Technician / Roadside Mechanic / Vehicle Technician / Mobile Technician / Mobile Mechanic to provide emergency roadside assistance. You'll be the first point of contact for customers experiencing vehicle issues, offering on-site diagnostics and minor repairs while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities – Roadside Technician

  • Respond quickly to roadside assistance requests
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and provide efficient solutions
  • Perform minor repairs including battery replacements, tyre changes, and lockout services
  • Ensure customer safety and deliver outstanding service
  • Complete service reports and maintain detailed job records
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Stay informed about current vehicle technologies and repair practices

Qualifications & Experience – Roadside Technician

  • Valid Category B driving licence
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  • Experience in the Motor Repair industry is essential
  • Able to work independently and show initiative
  • Demonstrate empathy and customer-focused behaviour
  • Familiarity with working alone is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle repair techniques
  • Adhere to Health & Safety best practices
  • Collaborative mindset to work with dispatch and improve the customer journey
