Our client is a manufacturing company, based in Harwich, who are looking to add a Spares & Service Coordinator to their growing engineering team.

The successful candidate will be willing to take on plenty of responsibility within a small team,

and be able to react swiftly and positively to customer requests. You should also be

proactive in looking for ways to promote and improve the spares and service

department to increase annual revenue.

Duties (include but are not limited to)

  • Manage the service engineers time to meet or exceed efficiency targets.
  • Proactively uplift the spares and service revenue to meet or exceed targets.
  • Identify and supply spare parts to customers in a time-critical manner.
  • Accurately prepare and deliver quotations in a time-critical manner.
  • Visiting customers regularly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Attend service visits in person to support the service team.
  • Continuously improve on spare parts processes and revenue.
  • Deliver an extremely high standard of customer support, knowing when to ask for
  • help from other staff with key experience.
  • Liaise with the accounts department to ensure that outstanding spare parts invoices
  • are paid on time.
  • Prioritise the technical concerns and issues of customers from many locations.
  • Project manage aftermarket sales with the technical team.

Person Specification

  • Customer service or sales experience.
  • A positive and outgoing attitude, even when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Comfortable working within tight deadlines.
  • The ability and passion to drive sales and improve on current procedures.
  • Comfortable working with Sage Accounts and Sage Manufacturing.
  • Familiar with CRM systems (we use Hubspot).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and IT skills with the ability to effectively articulate customer

  • High standard of communication skills, to keep in regular contact with customers and

follow up on quotations to increase conversion rates.

  • Professional and well presented at all times.
  • Be willing to occasionally work additional hours to complete projects.

Driving Licence required: No (although would be an advantage)
