We are now recruiting on behalf of our client, based in Harworth, Nottinghamshire for a Quality Assurance Operative. You will be required to undertake the following checks on all inbound products, recording the results and comparing with agreed supplier specifications.
Duties-
- Test the internal and external moisture content in wood products, using testing equipment
- Check the weight of the contents or the pack/bag fill volume
- Ensure the product sizing is within tolerances
- Visual inspection of the product
- Inspection of the packaging and pallet presentation
- Check pallet labelling and conformity to any applicable standards, such as FSC/PEFC
- Any deviation from the product specification based on these tests/checks/observations then needs to be formally reported as a non-conformance giving all details including recommendations and costs to rectify.

- Have experience within a similar role
- Good numeracy and literacy
- High level of organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately, at speed and under pressure
- Professional interpersonal skills in all forms of communication
- Able to travel between Harworth and Carlton In Lindrick
