We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working individual to join our team here at The Macs Farm. You will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the onsite kitchen, ensuring the team delivers high-quality food and exceptional customer service. This role requires a combination of leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills to drive the success of our kitchen space.

Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation:
  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of all dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency.
  • Manage inventory to avoid food wastage and ensure freshness.
  • Kitchen Management:
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Quality Control:
  • Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to ensure that all dishes meet the desired flavour profile and presentation.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Interact with customers, take feedback, and suggest necessary adjustments to the menu or operations to management.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience through the quality of food and service.
  • Menu Development:
  • Work with The Macs Farm to create and design a unique and appealing menu that aligns with our theme of quality local produce and appeals to our target audience.
  • Regularly suggest updates to the menu to keep it fresh and in line with food trends.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Expertise:
  • Experience in the culinary industry.
  • Leadership Skills:
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a kitchen team effectively, whilst remaining calm in a busy atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Adaptability:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Creativity:
  • Innovative thinking for menu development and problem-solving.
  • Customer Service:
  • A focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Knowledge of and adherence to health and safety regulations.
