The Role
As a Principal Electronics Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to complex avionics product development projects, from concept through to system integration and delivery. You will lead design initiatives, support system-level integration, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact while mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of complex electronic circuits and systems.

Integrate electronic systems into avionic platforms with a focus on reliability and performance.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior engineers.

Ensure design compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Support cross-functional collaboration and effective project execution.
Key Skills & Experience

Strong background in both analogue and digital circuit design.

Experience with FPGA and ASIC development using VHDL or Verilog.

Knowledge of simulation tools such as SPICE, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics.

Understanding of signal integrity, EMC, and mixed-signal design.

Proficiency in PCB design and power management.

Hands-on experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers.

Proven ability to lead projects, manage resources, and mentor others.
Education & Qualifications

Degree (or equivalent) in electronics engineering or a related discipline.

Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is desirable.

Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
Working Arrangements

Based in Hastings with hybrid working (mix of on-site and remote).

Occasional travel may be required.
