In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting drawings/layouts and producing take off lists accordingly, in addition to reviewing specifications to understand clients' needs/requirements. You will also be responsible for producing formal tender submissions as well as reviewing/adjusting Estimations based on any changes in the project scope. Finally, you will be responsible for understanding not just materials needed, but also labour and overhead costs.
The ideal Graduate Engineering/Construction Estimator will have a relevant degree and want to pursue a career as an Estimator. Ideally, but necessary, you will have a prior knowledge of the Construction/Engineering sector. Finally, you will need to hold a full, valid UK driver's license.
The Role:
- Interpreting drawings/layouts and producing a take off list
- Producing accurate Tenders
- Determining overhead costs as well as materials and personnel
- Progression to Estimator
The Person:
- Graduate with an Engineering degree or similar.
- Knowledge of the Construction/Engineering Industry
