School Premises Officer¦Hastings¦£24,000 - £26,000 pro rata¦Full-Time PermanentThis school is seeking a reliable and experienced Premises Officer to join their team. As a Premises Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the school's premises, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.Key ResponsibilitiesPremises Maintenance

  • Ensure the school's premises are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
  • Carry out daily checks on the premises, identifying and reporting any issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and repairing furniture.

Health and Safety

  • Assist with ensuring the school's compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Identify and report potential hazards and take steps to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in health and safety training and drills.

Security

  • Monitor the school premises, ensuring the security of students, staff, and visitors.
  • Respond to security breaches or incidents, following school procedures.
  • Control access to the school, including managing keys and access cards.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the school's senior leadership team, teaching staff, and other support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and visitors.
  • Provide support and assistance to other staff members as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role in a school or educational setting.
