We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer in Art and Design. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-regarded programme in a town known for its vibrant arts scene and coastal charm. You will play a key role in inspiring and supporting students through innovative teaching and active engagement with contemporary creative practices.The primary focus will be assisting with the setup of art exams and helping hang and display student work for final shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach across a range of Art and Design subjects, including studio practice, critical theory, and professional development.

  • Design and deliver engaging lectures, practical workshops, and tutorials.

  • Support students in the development of their personal practice and portfolios.

  • Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

  • Participate in exhibitions, open days, and community outreach events.

About You

  • A degree in Art, Design, or a related field (a postgraduate qualification and/or professional industry experience is highly desirable).

  • Teaching experience at further or higher education level.

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.)

  • A strong portfolio of professional or academic work in Art and Design.

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for student success.

  • The ability to foster creativity, critical thinking, and independent practice
