Accounts Assistant – About our client:We’re working with a well-established business in Hatfield, looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a varied role covering both sales and purchase ledger, bookkeeping, and general finance admin.
Accounts Assistant – Details:
- £27,000–£30,000 depending on experience
- Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
- Full training on systems

Accounts Assistant – Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger
-
Raise invoices
-
Allocate receipts and manage daily banking
-
Chase outstanding payments
-
Maintain accurate ledgers
-
Monthly bank reconciliations
-
Manage sales finance uploads
Purchase Ledger
-
Process purchase invoices and match to GRNs
-
Run supplier payments
-
Handle staff expenses and credit card use
-
Monthly creditor reconciliations
Other
-
Support wider finance team
-
Build internal and external relationships
-
Assist with general finance admin as needed
Accounts Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

Sales and purchase ledger experience

Good bookkeeping knowledge

Confident with MS Office (especially Excel)

Strong attention to detail and organisation

Clear communicator and team player
-
Able to work independently
