We are recruiting for a leading UK provider in the rail and transportation sector seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Manager/Senior Surveyor. The role involves managing contracts, sub-contractors, client and supplier meetings, pricing variations, and preparing payment applications and cost reports. Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with the Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Ensuring safety compliance.
  • Managing costs and value on projects.
  • Maintaining client relationships.
  • Reviewing tender allowances and contract documents.
  • Performing cost analysis, risk and value management.
  • Implementing procurement strategies.
  • Preparing sub-contract documentation and commercial correspondence.
  • Developing programmes and cashflows.
  • Preparing 'End of Life' forecasts and monitoring project performance.
  • Assisting with site issues and project completion.
  • Preparing Cost Value Reconciliation Reports.
  • Supporting tender enquiries and meetings.
  • Measuring works and contractor performance.
  • Maintaining contract records and managing relationships.
  • Settling construction disputes and final accounts.
  • Attending design and progress meetings.
  • Producing lessons learnt reports.
  • Administering Early Warning and Compensation Events processes.
  • Advising on project feasibility and requirements.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of materials and plant.
  • Attending close-out meetings and evaluating staff costs.
  • Maximising business opportunities and supporting documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Procuring sub-contractor packages and contracts.
  • Attending divisional/team meetings.
