They deliver multi-disciplinary projects encompassing civil engineering, MEP, signalling, and telecoms, acting as a principal contractor to both Network Rail and Transport for London. The Role
The business is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its Commercial and Contract Management team. This role is well-suited to someone in the earlier stages of their surveying career who is looking to grow and develop within a dynamic and fast-paced infrastructure environment. For the right candidate, the business can offer support toward achieving Chartership.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor, the successful individual will assist in delivering commercial functions across live projects, including cost control, reporting, subcontractor management, and procurement. The role will offer exposure to a wide variety of project stages and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities :
- Support the preparation and submission of valuations, applications for payment, and cost value reconciliations
- Assist with the monitoring and forecasting of project costs, budgets, and value
- Manage subcontractor procurement, orders, and payments under appropriate contractual terms
- Contribute to the preparation of CVRs and commercial reporting for client meetings
- Ensure project risks and opportunities are identified and reported appropriately
- Maintain accurate records of project cost data, change control, and compensation events
- Attend site progress meetings and collaborate with delivery teams
Candidate Requirements :
- Prior experience in a Quantity Surveying role within infrastructure, civils, or construction
- Familiarity with NEC contracts is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercially astute with good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- PTS and CSCS certification are advantageous
- Full UK driving licence required
