Accounts Assistant – About our client:
We’re working with a well-established business in Hatfield, looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a varied role covering both sales and purchase ledger, bookkeeping, and general finance admin.

Accounts Assistant – Details:

  • £27,000–£30,000 depending on experience
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • Full training on systems

Accounts Assistant – Responsibilities:

Sales Ledger

  • Raise invoices

  • Allocate receipts and manage daily banking

  • Chase outstanding payments

  • Maintain accurate ledgers

  • Monthly bank reconciliations

  • Manage sales finance uploads

Purchase Ledger

  • Process purchase invoices and match to GRNs

  • Run supplier payments

  • Handle staff expenses and credit card use

  • Monthly creditor reconciliations

Other

  • Support wider finance team

  • Build internal and external relationships

  • Assist with general finance admin as needed

Accounts Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • Sales and purchase ledger experience

  • Good bookkeeping knowledge

  • Confident with MS Office (especially Excel)

  • Strong attention to detail and organisation

  • Clear communicator and team player

  • Able to work independently
