HGV Class 2 Driver

Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a stable role with a local council, or newly qualified and eager to get started in a rewarding sector? We are recruiting reliable and motivated drivers to join the Recycling & Waste Division, supporting essential services in the community.

The Role:
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for driving and operating waste and recycling vehicles safely and efficiently. Working as part of a team, you will help ensure household and commercial collections are carried out on schedule, delivering a professional and dependable service to the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste and recycling collections

• Work alongside a crew to complete daily rounds safely and efficiently

• Ensure all health & safety regulations are followed at all times

• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects

• Provide excellent service to the public when required

Requirements:

• A valid HGV Class 2 licence (essential)

• CPC and Digi Tacho Card (essential)

• Experience in waste/recycling driving is an advantage but not essential – full training provided

• A positive, reliable, and safety-conscious approach

What’s on Offer:

• £15.50 per hour, paid weekly

• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (no weekends)

• Ongoing, stable work with a respected local authority
