Welder/Machine Operator

Do you have experience in setting and operating CNC break Presses?

Do you have experience as a TIG Welder?

We are recruiting a Welder/Machine Operator to join the team.

The Welder/Setter will be based our Havant team and will set and operate 4 of the machines used on a daily basis a good understanding of TIG welding is also required 

In return, we are offering a competitive salary, depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 13:00 finish on a Friday, Christmas shut down.

This is a full-time, permanent role. The hours of work will be Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 13:00

Reporting to the Shop Floor Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • To understand the functions of the Amada CNC Brake Presses, Vipros Punch Machine.
  • To be able to set up all of the machines under the supervision of the Machine Operator/Setter.
  • To understand the functions of machinery and use in an efficient manner.
  • To use the Guillotine and Roll Former when required.
  • To gain an understanding of the H&S and routine maintenance checks required on each of the machines.
  • To have an understanding of manufacturing TIG welded parts.

The ideal candidate:

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings (3rd angle drawings).
  • Experience in setting and operating CNC break Presses
  • Experience of using Production Machines and setting.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
