The company delivers complex infrastructure schemes across flood defence, coastal, and environmental sectors with a strong emphasis on sustainability, safety, and quality.

This position is a 3 to 6 month fixed-term role offering the opportunity to contribute to a significant reservoir project as part of a supportive and experienced team. It would suit an individual seeking an interim position with a reputable, community-driven contractor.

SHEQ Advisor Job Overview
  • Support the implementation and management of integrated Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental (HSQE) systems across site
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with current legislation and company procedures
  • Assist in incident investigation and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions where necessary
  • Maintain and report on key HSQE performance metrics to management
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to site teams, fostering a strong safety culture
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly working near water and within construction environments
SHEQ Advisor Job Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential
  • Groundworks experience
  • Practical experience in a construction H&S role, ideally with infrastructure, civils or water-related projects
  • Experience with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards
  • Full UK driving licence and valid CSCS card
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
