We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Senior Team Leader to support and lead the Assembly team. The successful candidate will coordinate daily operations, support team performance, and ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets are consistently achieved across all mechanical assembly areas.

The role requires close collaboration with Planning, Machining, Logistics and other support functions to secure flow and resolve issues quickly.

Typical work activities include, but are not limited to:

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and coordinate Assembly Operators to meet production requirements
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Report absences, manage attendance and track holidays
  • Provide daily shop floor support, coaching and feedback

Daily Operations

  • Allocate workloads and monitor output against targets
  • Ensure correct use of tools, parts, documentation and test facilities
  • Deliver to quality, quantity and delivery expectations

Tier Management & Communication

  • Update boards and lead meetings
  • Report KPIs and escalate issues affecting SQDC

Continuous Improvement & Engagement

  • Maintain and drive 5S standards
  • Encourage kaizens and safety observations

Operational Control

  • Ensure stock accuracy via recording and cycle counts
  • Monitor workflow to meet departmental and plant goals

Skills and Experience Required

  • Practical knowledge of mechanical assembly
  • Understanding of hydraulic assembly processes
  • Experience in production or operations environments
  • PC literacy for reporting and documentation
  • Awareness of customer deliverables and quality impact

Hours

Monday-Friday 07:30-15:30
